(ANSA) – ROME – The digital market in 2021 returned to growth, thanks to the recovery of the economy and the significant boost to digitization projects that affected all sectors. Growth was 5.3%, for a total value of 75.3 billion euros. This is what emerges from the annual report of Anitec-Assinform on the trend of digital in Italy, conducted in collaboration with NetConsulting cube.
Almost all sectors of the digital market grew in 2021. Devices and Systems recorded an increase of 9.1%, for a value of 21.1 billion euros, highlighting an acceleration mainly due to the sales of personal computers and television sets. With regard to the Information Technology sectors, the Software and ICT Solutions segment closed 2021 at 8.1 billion euros with an increase of 8%, ICT Services reached 13.6 billion euros in 2021. euro and recorded an overall growth of 7.6%, due to the resumption of investments in System Integration services, due to the effect of digitization projects, which are among the main drivers of the industrial plans of the major companies in all sectors, and a further important growth of Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity services. On the other hand, the negative trends of Tlc Network Services continue (-3.3%). The recovery of the Digital Content segment (+ 8.7%) is worth noting, driven mainly by the return on advertising investments on internet platforms. In 2022 the market is expected to continue growing, although slowing down compared to that recorded in 2021, with an increase of 3.6%. (HANDLE).
