Twitter launches dual-author post function in testing

Pope francesco:

(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 11 – Twitter has started testing a new feature called “co-tweet”, which allows two accounts to write a single post, which will appear on the message boards of both authors. An option very similar to what has already been happening on Instagram since last October. As anticipated by The Verge, the feature is currently available for select accounts in the US, Canada and Korea. “We are continuing to explore new ways in which people can collaborate on Twitter,” explained the spokesperson for the social network, Joseph J. Nuñez. “We will be testing co-tweets for a limited time to find out how people and brands can use this feature to grow and reach new audiences and strengthen their partnerships.” In a tweet from the Twitter Create account, the company better explained the use of the novelty. “A co-tweet is a collaboratively written Tweet that is posted simultaneously to both authors ‘profiles and their followers’ timeline.

You will recognize a co-tweet when you see the profile pictures and usernames of two authors in the header. “After writing a post, the first user will be able to choose an account to appear as another author. The latter will have to confirm the co- tweet, although the replies to the post will arrive as a notification only to those who wrote the main post. It is not clear when and in which country Twitter will definitively launch the function which is still expected by the summer. (ANSA).
