Nothing teases its next products, even more mysterious

After launching its first product, the Nothing ear (1), the company created by Carl Pei (one of the co-founders of OnePlus) is ready to move up a gear. In an ad posted on her blog, she announces a new fundraising of $ 50 million.

This is an extension of the company’s Series A fundraiser. And these new funds should make it possible to finance research and development in preparation for the entry of the Nothing brand into new product categories.

But in addition to this fundraising, Nothing also announces a partnership with Qualcomm and its Snapdragon platform, to propel future products. Unfortunately, the company does not give more details on the next products it will release.

Nothing wants to create an ecosystem (therefore, several products on several categories?)

But the collaboration with Qualcomm suggests it will be something more sophisticated than just headphones. On the other hand, Nothing makes it clear that it does not intend to settle for this market. In reality, the ambition of this company is to create an “ecosystem”. And Qualcomm says it’s thrilled to help Nothing develop this ecosystem.

“The successful launch of our first product, ear (1), has proven that there is room for a new challenger brand to emerge and disrupt today’s sea of similarity. Users deserve better products that are easier to use, accessible, but look amazing ”, said Carl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing. “Seamless connectivity is paramount to realizing our vision of a future without barriers between people and technology. We look forward to working alongside Qualcomm Technologies and our strategic investors to achieve Nothing’s next phase of growth. “

As a reminder, Nothing’s first product is a pair of wireless headphones with noise canceling functionality, but sold at a relatively affordable price. Within two months, 100,000 units were sold.
