Military robot maker Ghost Robotics has revealed a new model of its robot dog fighting robot. She has a sniper rifle on her back!

The company presented its deadly creation at the main annual convention of the US Army Association in Washington. The Robot Dog is a new version of the Vision robotic robot series.
The U.S. Air Force is currently testing an unarmed version of these robots for use as a perimeter guard at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.
The sniper robot was named Q-UGV. The robot is equipped with a special purpose drone rifle module from Sword Defense and a powerful 6.5 mm sniper rifle. It has day and night cameras and an effective range of 1200 meters.
Ghost Robotics CEO Jiren Parikh has denied speculation that the sniper rifle is an autonomous weapon system.
“It is completely controlled by a remote operator. There is a person controlling the weapon, there is no autonomy or artificial intelligence,” Parikh said.
Ghost Robotics has been developing four-legged robots since 2015 and has previously shown versions equipped with add-ons, including weapons to defuse bombs.
