Covid: Sebastiani (Cnr), hospitalizations in the regions increase

Hospitalizations for Covid-19 are increasing in the majority of Italian regions, both in ordinary and intensive care wards. This is indicated by the analyzes of the mathematician Giovanni Sebastiani, of the Institute for the Applications of Computing ‘M.Picone’, of the National Research Council (Cnr). According to the expert, the data indicates that, “contrary to what some media spread, the increase in positives is not mainly due to the increase in tests after the obligation of the Green pass”.

Sebastiani also notes that employment in ordinary departments shows a growth trend in Abruzzo, which is at a current level of employment of 4%, and also in the autonomous province of Bolzano (9%), in Friuli Venezia Giulia (4.5 %), Lazio (5.5%), Liguria (3.5%), Lombardy (5%), Molise (3%), Sicily (8%), Tuscany (4.5%) Valle d’Aosta (8%) and Veneto (3%). Growth is instead weak in Campania (5.5%) and Piedmont (3.2%).

With regard to employment in intensive care units, a growth trend is observed in Abruzzo, which is at a current level of employment of 4.5%, in Liguria (5.5%), Marche (8%) and Umbria (7%); growth is weak in Emilia Romagna (4%) and Tuscany (5%).
