Hubble telescope made incredible photo spiral galaxy NGC 6984, which is located in the constellation Indus.

This is reported by the observatory.

A rare event

It is known that the photograph of NGC 6984 was taken during an extremely rare astronomical event – a double supernova in NGC 6984. Supernovae are incredibly powerful explosions of huge proportions caused by the death of massive stars.

Astronomers’ research

The discovery of two supernovae, at almost the same time and in the same place, prompted astronomers to speculate that they might somehow be related. Experts continue to investigate this phenomenon.

Astronaut photographed Kiev from space

French astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA) Thom Pesquet made impressive pictures from the International Space Station. He photographed the capital of Ukraine – Kiev.

The International Space Station is located at an altitude of 408 kilometers. In pictures from such a height, you can see large objects familiar to all Kievites, which are located in the capital. However, in the photo they are very small.
