The four museums are thus associated with the tourist office for the creation of the account on the platform allowing access to content in large part pornographic.

Museum Next published a report in which other museums also suffered this social media censorship. The last censorship to date is that imposed by TikTok at the Albertina Museum. Last July, the museum was blocked after exhibiting the works of Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. A few years earlier, in 2018, the Natural History Museum had already removed the figurine of the Venus of Willendorf, 25,000 years old. Facebook had treated this work of “Pornographic”.

It turns out that today, OnlyFans is the only platform able to accept this type of content. In 2016, the social network began allowing creators to share nude and pornographic content with subscribers. Now its users can subscribe to get a city map from Vienna free or a free ticket for the museums presented.
