Instagram: the new “Add Yours” sticker targets teens

Instagram is launching a new sticker, “Add Yours”, in its Your Story tab. The new sticker is a way for the platform to allow users to participate in a public discussion thread. Adding this sticker to a post on your Story allows other users to respond to theirs. You can see who answered you or join an already existing channel.

A brand new sticker for more exchanges

The sticker launch is underway and it will soon be available to everyone. In a Tweet, Instagram announces that this new function will allow you to create public discussion threads. With personalized invitations and public responses, everything seems to be in place to facilitate the exchanges. To use the option, simply save a Story and select the sticker in the navigation bar. The “Add Yours” sticker allows you add caption and invite users to respond.

The new option will therefore generate more exchanges. The goal is to make the tab Your more dynamic Story. Indeed, it will be possible to create visual discussion threads on a subject. Having the responses public will also allow users to discover other accounts to follow.

Adolescents in the spotlight

Instagram has always attached great importance to teenagers. Indeed, in a memo the company declared that to lose this market share was to lose completely. This new option is part of the app’s new marketing strategy. Apparently, the majority of the annual budget marketing is devoted to developing functions aimed at teenagers.
