It’s called Find My Pet, it’s an innovative self-sufficient online application that makes it easier to find lost and/or abandoned pets. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a sharp increase in the number of lost and abandoned pets around the world. For this reason, Find My Pet was born with the intention of facilitating their return home.
What makes this mobile application unique is its self-sufficiency, in the sense that it digitizes the interaction between pet owners and people who potentially can find lost or abandoned pets without human guidance. As a result, it makes communication steps shorter, more environmentally friendly and cheaper than traditional methods, such as placing advertisements on lampposts or using embedded microchips. The innovative app created by us two Spanish students “Find my animal – Find my pet” is now available on the Google Play Store for free.
