The National Center for Control and Testing of Space Facilities near the city of Dunaevtsy in the Khmelnytsky region successfully conducted the first communication session with the Sich-2-30 satellite.

Currently installed with the machine stable connection, all its on-board systems are operating normally, President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

He recalled that the data collected by the satellite will help Ukrainian farmers, cartographers, forestry and water management in their work.

In addition, monitoring will provide more information to the Ministry of Defense (for example, on the movement of military equipment), will help to assess the situation during emergencies and natural disasters.

Recall that earlier we wrote that the Ukrainian satellite was successfully sent into orbit by Elon Musk’s Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX. In total, on January 13, the rocket launched about 100 satellites into space.
