Axiom Space, a private company that received NASA approval in January 2020 to build the commercial component of the ISS, will take over the construction of SEE-1.

Axiom Space plans to make four flights to the ISS in the next two years with a private crew aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsules.

The module is docked with the commercial division of Axiom called Axiom Station, where, among other things, will develop space tourism.

The design of the inflatable module for the film studio provides a hermetic volume with a diameter of about six meters.

It can be adapted for a range of activities, including on-board state-of-the-art media production capabilities that will capture and convey the feeling of weightlessness.

“From Jules Verne to Star Trek, science fiction has inspired millions of people to dream of what the future might bring,” said SEE COO Richard Johnston.

He believes that creating entertainment content in space opens up countless doors, including for the space economy.
