The metaverse avatar will be displayed as a hexagon, while regular avatars are round. The subscription will cost $2.99 per month.
: Twitter fixed a bug that was very annoying to users
However, Ukrainians still cannot use the service: it was connected only to iOS clients, and the subscription is available in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Wallets that can be used to pay for the service are Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust, Argent and Ledger Live.
At the same time, by clicking on such a paid avatar, users can learn more about the creator of NFT.
One of the most active and famous Twitter bloggers Elon Musk has already reacted to the novelty, calling it “annoying”.
“Twitter is wasting engineering resources on this nonsense while crypto scammers are throwing a spambot party in every thread!?” wrote the billionaire.
Musk thinks social media should focus fighting spam and scammers, not such strange innovations.
But he has already admitted that does not understand the metaverse, does not believe that people will leave for it, and he even compared VR helmets with a TV on his head.
