New iPhones and Macs, a 2022 full of announcements for Apple

Quirinale, Serracchiani:

(ANSA) – MILAN, 25 JAN – Despite the lack of chips and the slow recovery in smartphone sales, with only + 1% in the last quarter for Canalys analysts, Apple is preparing for a 2022 full of new products. For Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the current year will see “the widest range” of news from the Cupertino giant. In the weekly Apple newsletter, Gurman says the company is in the process of unveiling devices in every hi-tech product category it is involved in. It starts with an update of the low-end MacBook Pro, then continues with iMac desktops with screens larger than 27 inches and Mac Pro, a new MacBook Air laptop, an iPad Air, an iPad Pro, second generation AirPods Pro earphones, three Apple Watches and finally, in chronological order, the usual four iPhones, in different sizes. The iPhone Se 3 is missing, the “cheap” mobile phone from Apple, which various rumors give for sure as early as spring. No mention for augmented and virtual reality goggles, on which Apple’s labs would still be working. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently spoke of a delay in finalizing the product, due to some critical issues related to daily use and software. Bloomberg’s Gurman recalls that, also for this year, the individual presentations will take place in virtual form, due to the Omicron variant which still makes it difficult to hold events in person. Something could change for the conference that Apple dedicates to developers, the Worldwide Developers Conference 2022. Usually set in early June, the meeting could open its doors to a limited number of participants, should the health situation in the United States allow it. (HANDLE).
