Green technology, the Galaxy S22 made of recycled plastic

Red Canzian's message one month after hospitalization:

(ANSA) – MILAN, 07 FEB – On 9 February Samsung will unveil the new smartphones of the Galaxy S22 series with an online event.

Although we know a lot about mobile phones, thanks to the rumors spread on the net in recent weeks, behind their creation there are some particular gems, which emerged only today. Among these, the use by the Korean giant of recycled plastic deriving from fishing nets abandoned in the oceans, as the main material for the construction of the hardest portions of the devices, back covers and front bezels. The same company explained it, underlining the commitment undertaken to make its supply chain greener, in favor of recycling: “Samsung will incorporate ocean plastic in its entire product line, starting with our new Galaxy devices that will be revealed. February 9. These will reflect efforts to eliminate single-use plastics and expand the use of other environmentally friendly materials, such as post-consumer recycled material (PCM) and recycled paper. All for a better environmental impact. “

Samsung recalls that approximately 640,000 tons of fishing nets are abandoned in the oceans each year, with consequences that affect the entire marine ecosystem. The competition is no exception: Apple has confirmed that by 2030 its entire production line will be zero impact while, in early January, realme unveiled its new Gt 2 Pro, a smartphone with a rear body in Sabic, a polymer of biological origin which has avoided the use of raw materials of fossil origin and which has received various sector certifications, such as the International Sustainability Carbon Certification, Reach, RoHS and Epeat.
