Also active in Italy, it allows you to add your thumbs down to the comments you read on posts shared on the social network and which, in everyone’s opinion, do not add value to the community or, simply, are incorrect or misleading. Each subscriber can affix a so-called “downvote” only to the comments to their posts and not to those of the people they follow. No one, with the exception of Twitter, will ever be able to see the negative votes, which will serve the platform to better organize the contents on the wall, considering the thumbs as a sort of bookmark for an unwanted element.
“Your votes are not public and will not be shared with the author of the tweet or in the history of users – explains Twitter – the feedback allows us to prioritize, in your history and that of other users, to higher quality content” . In the last few hours, the contrast of downvotes, that is, upvotes, has also appeared in the United States. The function is exactly the opposite of the thumb down; similar to the Facebook like, it is used to assign a positive vote to an answer in comment to personal posts. Meanwhile, Twitter continues to work on Articles, a new minus that will allow you to write long articles, going well beyond the 280 character limit.
