(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 20 – Artillery shells have been heard in the past few hours in Donetsk, the largest city of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), according to a TASS correspondent.
Presumably – says the agency – a bombing with heavy weapons is underway.
Earlier, the DPR mission at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination said Ukrainian troops opened mortar fire in several populated areas of the republic, including Donetsk. According to initial reports, the bombing targeted Donetsk and the cities of Dokuchayevsk, Oktyabr, Sosnovskoye, Aleksandrovka and Spartak.
Subsequently, it was reported that the villages of Petrovskoye, Staromikhailovka and Kommunarovka were also bombed. (HANDLE).
