The Kremlin accused the Ukraine, this Saturday, 26, of having ruined a truce by not agreeing to negotiate. The statements were made by Dmitri Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian government, during an interview. “As the Ukrainian side rejected the negotiations, Russian forces resumed the advance this afternoon,” Peskov said, referring to an alleged order made on Friday, 25, by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, who would have ordered his troops to take a temporary break from the invasion of the neighboring country. But he revoked his order on Saturday due to non-acceptance of the deal. Despite the Russians’ statements, there has been no break in the last 24 hours. THE Russia continued to invade Ukrainian territory and bombed the capital Kiev during the night. The attack hit a residential building.

This is the third day of its invasion of Ukraine, and Moscow has already publicly declared that the aim is to change the regime in Kiev. On Friday, the Russian president made a statement calling for an armed coup to remove President Volodymyr Zelensky from office. The invasion is classified by the Russians as a ‘Special Operation’ and not a war, even Putin this morning banned independent media from calling the attack a war. The Ukrainian president has repeatedly asked for direct negotiations with Putin, who has even taken a stand. However, the authorities of U.S rejected the Russian offer, claiming that they were untrue. During the interview, the Russian spokesman also spoke about the sanctions that have been imposed by Western countries. Peskov said they were very serious, but that the Russian economy will overcome them.
