(ANSA) – KIEV, 07 MAR – The Russians killed the mayor of Gostomel, a town close to Kiev and headquarters of the strategic Antonov airport, already the scene of clashes. The city authorities report it. “The mayor of Gostomel, Yuri Illich Prylypko, died while distributing bread to the hungry and medicine to the sick,” explains the city hall on Facebook. Prylypko was shot together with two other men, he adds, without specifying when the incident happened.
“Nobody forced him to go under the bullets of the occupiers, he died for his people, for Gostomel. A hero died”, the post continues. (HANDLE).
