Israel: Herzog flies to Turkey, the first country leader since 2008

(ANSA) – TEL AVIV, 08 MAR – Israeli President Isaac Herzog will leave tomorrow for Turkey for a 2-day state visit at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Herzog is the first Israeli leader to arrive in the country since 2008.

“During the visit, which takes place in coordination with the office of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and the foreign minister, the two presidents – said Herzog’s spokesman – will discuss various bilateral dossiers, including the Turkish-Israeli reaction and the potential to increase collaboration between the respective states and peoples in various fields “.
