Nuclear: Iran criticizes the US for new issues on agreement

(ANSA) – TEHRAN, MARCH 13 – The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian, has criticized the US for having raised new topics in nuclear talks in Vienna. The criticisms emerged in a telephone conversation with Qatari colleague Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, reports the Isna agency.

According to the Iranian minister, at this moment Tehran spares no effort to reach an agreement that is good, strong and lasting. Al-Thani, for his part, called the efforts of Iran and other parties involved in Vienna to reach an agreement as important.

The Qatari minister, who has had talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, is expected in Moscow today where he will meet with Russian colleague Serghei Lavrov to discuss recent talks in Vienna after Moscow asked Washington to provide guarantees that sanctions imposed for the invasion of Ukraine will not affect its cooperation with Iran.
