(ANSA) – LONDON, MARCH 15 – The British government of Boris Johnson has included as many as 350 other names of Russian characters in the black list of those sanctioned – with freezing of assets available in the United Kingdom and travel ban – in response to the invasion of Ukraine. Among them are prominent politicians (after the first measures against Vladimir Putin, Serghei Lavorv and others) such as former president Dmitri Medvedev and the current defense minister, Serghei Shoigu; as well as numerous business oligarchs in addition to those already affected such as Mikhail Fridman, Piotr Aven or Andrei Melnichenko. The tightening follows the approval of a tougher ad hoc law on sanctions (ANSA).
