(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 21 – Former England captain David Beckham has given control of his Instagram account to a Ukrainian doctor in the city of Kharkiv. The BBC reports it.
Dr Iryna, head of a regional perinatal center, posted videos of the work medical professionals are doing in the city, the target of the Russian bombing for more than three weeks.
The footage shows babies being treated and a basement where patients had to be moved to escape the bombing. Dr Iryna, who in addition to running the center is also a pediatric anesthetist, said: “The first few days were the most difficult. We had to learn to work with bombings and strikes.” We are probably risking our lives, but we are not there. we think at all. We love our job. Doctors and nurses here, we worry, we cry, but none of us give up, “said the doctor again.
