Involved in a long legal saga, the 50-year-old Australian is wanted by American courts who want to try him for the dissemination, since 2010, of over 700,000 confidential documents on American military and diplomatic activities, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan. Especially persecuted by the anti-espionage law, Assange faces 175 years in prison.

On March 14, he saw one of his last hopes of avoiding his extradition disappear, after the British Supreme Court’s refusal to examine his appeal.

Assange and Moris first met in 2011 when the lawyer was hired to join the legal team fighting extradition. Moris had two children with Assange, two boys conceived when she lived at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Moris, on the occasion of the wedding, launched a fundraiser to contribute to the legal costs that yesterday she had already raised over 177,000 pounds (212,000 euros). (HANDLE).
