German citizens who use the letter “Z”, symbolizing support for Russia’s war in Ukraine, will be prosecuted.
This was stated on Monday by a representative of the Interior Ministry, reports Reuters.
“The letter ‘Z’ as such is, of course, not prohibited, but its use may, in some cases, signify approval of Russia’s aggressive war.”– he said.
Recall that the letter “Z” is used as a marking on Russian military vehicles, tanks that participate in the war against Ukraine. It is also used by pro-war Russians and has been seen on flags and at pro-Kremlin rallies.
“Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine is a criminal act, and anyone who publicly approves of this aggressive war can also be held criminally liable”– said the official representative of the German Interior Ministry.
