Gb: new shadows on Andrea, involved in a fraud case

(ANSA) – LONDON, APRIL 01 – New shadows on Prince Andrew after the involvement of the third son of Queen Elizabeth in the sex scandal linked to the figure of the late American fixer Jeffrey Epstein. This time the name of the Duke of York was mentioned (with that of his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson) in an ongoing proceeding at the High Court of London: both would have received a large sum of money as business intermediaries from the talked about Turkish businessman Selman Turk, accused of fraud.

A wealthy Turkish woman, Nebahat Isbilen, claims the businessman told her in November 2019 that he had to make a £ 750,000 “gift” for the prince’s help in obtaining a British passport. Her money that was repaid by the Duke of York when it emerged what according to Isbilen was an illicit ploy set up by Turk. The royal and ex-wife were only mentioned in the proceedings and are not involved in any other way. However, the story represents yet another cause of embarrassment for Andrea and the royal family. All the more so after the sovereign was accompanied by him, marginalized from his public roles after the sex scandal of the Giuffre case, to the function for the first anniversary of the death of Prince Philip, in Westminster Abbey, where the Duke of York reappeared at an external public event for the first time in over 5 months.
