(ANSA) – TUNIS, APRIL 11 – “We have developed a good plan to combat illegal migration in coordination with the Stability Support Agency. We have prepared a force of over 200 soldiers who have been trained and they have attended training courses given by foreign countries. We have also purchased 10 Navy boats to follow up on the fight against immigration and fuel smuggling. I am doing my part in this dossier according to the mandate given to me by the House of Representatives “. We read it in an interview, published in the French-speaking monthly L’Observatoire Economique, with a deputy of the Libyan Parliament, Ali Mohamed Buzriba, brother of the Minister of the Interior in the executive of Fathi Bashagha.

“Thanks to coordination with this force – adds Buzriba – we protect our maritime borders, preventing illegal immigration and smuggling. In about nine months we have stopped over 200 boats. Currently, there are about nine thousand migrants in the reception centers. About four thousand. immigrants have returned to their countries, including Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Pakistan and Bangladesh. These nations collaborate positively with us. We coordinate with their embassies to organize the safe return home for migrants within ten days of their identification”.
