ISLAMABAD – Supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan held demonstrations in several cities of the country last night to protest his dismissal through a vote of no confidence.
Khan on Saturday called the decision the result of a “foreign conspiracy” and appealed to his supporters for a peaceful protest.
Popular demonstrations were held in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta and many other cities.
Imran Khan, in a Twitter message, thanked “Pakistanis for their extraordinary support and affection in protesting US-backed regime change favored by local (traitors).”
