(ANSA) – NEW YORK, APRIL 13 – “I am the prophet of misfortune, this is my original name”. This is how Frank James, the person of interest wanted in the shooting in the New York subway, describes himself in some of the videos posted online, and cited by the American media. In the films James talks about politics and beyond, focusing on Will Smith’s slap in the face at the Oscars and on the appointment of Ketanji Jackson Brown to the Supreme Court. And he marries several 9/11 conspiracy theories, calling tragedy the “best day”.
In some of the videos he talks about New York Mayor Eric Adams “doomed to fail”, in others about race, politics and gun violence. Frank also seems to have experienced the mental health system of the city and suffered emotional violence that could have prompted someone to “hold the gun and shoot”. (HANDLE).
