(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 13 – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video speech to the Estonian Parliament said that Russia is using phosphorus bombs, accusing Moscow of using terror tactics against civilians but without providing evidence to support the affirmation. The Guardian reports it.
Then referring to the Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian presidents who will be in Kiev today, Zelensky said that this is “an important gesture of solidarity and that sanctions are necessary to continue to put pressure on Russia”.
He also added that tools must be found to prevent Moscow from forcibly deporting people from Ukraine. So he called for Ukraine to become an EU “candidate country”.
