Gb: immigration, Johnson deploys Royal Navy in the English Channel

(ANSA) – LONDON, APRIL 14 – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has formalized the decision to entrust the Navy with the patrol of the English Channel to curb the surge in landings of illegal immigrants.

The announcement was made during a speech given on the English coast of Kent in which the Tory Prime Minister illustrated the previously announced draconian plan defined by his government to tighten immigration: a plan that provides, among other things, the controversial relocation of some asylum seekers in Rwanda, pending verification of the process on their possible admission to the United Kingdom.
