Moscow bans Boris Johnson from entering Russia

(ANSA) – MOSCOW, APRIL 16 – Moscow has banned the entry of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson into Russia: this was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry explained in a statement that in addition to Johnson, many other senior British officials are also banned from entering the country after London imposes sanctions on Russia for its military operations in Ukraine. “This step was taken in response to London’s unbridled information and political campaign aimed at isolating Russia at the international level – reads the note from the ministry – to create conditions to limit our country and strangle the domestic economy”.
