(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, APRIL 19 – “Good meeting with the US president and leaders to face the latest offensive by Russia in the Donbass region, of which we had warned. We agree to impose further costs on the Kremlin and continue the our support for Ukraine. President Putin must end the war immediately. ” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg wrote it on Twitter.
“The leaders – NATO said in a statement – have condemned the current assault by Russia along the front line in eastern Ukraine, even with heavy bombings that are causing even more human suffering. The secretary general updated his colleagues on the I work to strengthen NATO’s deterrence and defense, underlining that NATO will do whatever it takes to protect and defend all allies. ” Stoltenberg also “informed other leaders about the work of the allies to provide Ukraine with additional military, economic and humanitarian aid”.
