(ANSA) – PARIS, APRIL 29 – The former president of the Front National, Jean-Marie Le Pen, described Emmanuel Macron’s victory in the presidential elections as “squalid”, adding that the defeat of his daughter Marine was “glorious”.
In a commentary on the election on YouTube, the former far-right leader said that “13 million voters have trusted Marine Le Pen and the consequences must be drawn for the future.”
Speaking of the campaign for the June legislative elections, 94-year-old Jean-Marie Le Pen called for “all possible forces to come together in order to win a victory that would be decisive”. “We must forget the various clashes that may have occurred – he added – France is threatened in its essence”.
