(See: ‘Erdogan in Saudi Arabia …’ ’08:03 am) (ANSA) – ISTANBUL, APRIL 29 – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the Sacred Mosque in the center of Mecca and went inside the Kaaba, considered the holiest building for Islam. This was reported by various Turkish media that publish photographs of Erdogan, in pilgrim clothes, who leaves the structure accompanied by some of the ministers part of the delegation with whom he went on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Turkish president met Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman last night in Jeddah. Erdogan spoke of the beginning of “a new era” in relations between Ankara and Riyadh after years of problematic relations. (HANDLE).
