(ANSA) – ERICE, 02 MAY – At least 32 journalists, activists and people demonstrating for peace were arrested yesterday in Russia, a country whose troops invaded Ukraine: the NGO Ovd-Info reported, reported by Moscow Times.
On Labor Day, the Russian police arrested seven people in Moscow and seven in St. Petersburg, six in Novosibirsk and six in Chelyabinsk. According to the Moscow Times, several people were arrested with signs bearing variations of the slogan “Peace, work, May”.
Over 15,000 people who have demonstrated against the war have been detained in Russia since Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine on February 24. (HANDLE).
