Migrants: exercise against human trafficking in Greece

(ANSAmed) – ATHENS, MAY 06 – A large-scale exercise against human trafficking in Medusa 2022 will be held from 10 to 12 May by Greece with the participation of other European and international associations and institutions. This was announced by the Greek government, whose ministry for Migration and Asylum will be responsible for its supervision.

In a press conference from Athens, Greek Deputy Minister Sofia Voultepsi explained that the exercise will involve 800 people in 22 European locations, six diplomatic missions in Greece and 15 international institutions, including the Greek police, the European Commission, Europol and Unicef. .

“For the first time, the whole world is turning its attention to human trafficking. There are millions of displaced people right now making the ground fertile for this type of crime to gain ground again.
