Sanctions against Kabaeva. Will the EU be able to strike at the mistress and mother of Putin’s children

The West continues to inflict powerful blows to the Russian economy and the Kremlin oligarchs – soon to be adopted sixth package of sanctions. And in this cruel and uncompromising struggle, “strawberry notes” begin to appear.

On the sidelines of the European Union and the United States is seriously discussed imposition of sanctions against Putin’s mistress and the mother of his illegitimate children – Alina Kabaeva.

Slipping with the sixth package of sanctions

The European Union has prepared a new document and is preparing to announce about the introduction of another package of sanctions against Russia, the sixth in a row. Although approval is still in progress, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen no doubt that the sixth package will be accepted. According to some reports, Hungary and Slovakia, as a compromise, are offered to postpone the embargo until the end of 2024, and the Czech Republic until the summer of the same year.

The new package also includes disconnection of Sberbank of Russia from SWIFT and a ban on the broadcasting of three propaganda Russian TV channels in the European Union.

“By this we deprive the Russian economy of the ability to develop. Putin wants to destroy Ukraine and erase it from the map. But this will not happen, he will not succeed. Ukraine has risen to fight, brave and united. And Putin is safely drowning Russia,” she commented the trial of Ursula von der Leyen, according to Euronews.

But it is not the political disputes that give the sixth package a special piquancy.but the fact that very colorful characters can get into it – Putin’s mistress Alina Kabaeva and Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill (Gundyaev – Ed.).

Impact on family and inner circle

The personal list got into the press, and according to Bloomberg, it included a proposal to impose sanctions on Alina Kabaevaa former gymnast who has been heads the board of directors National media group of Russia (unites the largest media of the Russian Federation – Ed).

In Lugano Kabaeva staying at a villa in the suburbs or at the Principe Leopoldo Hotel. A source described her as “a very nice woman, a real athlete, very straight forward.”

In response, however, official Bern said that he had no data that a person with that name was really in the country.
