Di Maio, agreement with Rabat to relaunch Mediterranean cooperation

It was an opportunity to take stock of relations between the two countries. Di Maio said he was “convinced that the Business Forum will bring great benefits to the respective productive economic systems, also with a view to relaunching cooperation in the Mediterranean”.

The commitment “to maintaining and strengthening the legal framework that binds Morocco to the European Union” was reaffirmed, as well as “Italian support for the efforts of the UN Secretary General to reach a just, realistic, pragmatic and sustainable political solution was guaranteed. and mutually acceptable to the question of Western Sahara “.
