(ANSA) – NEW YORK, MAY 11 – A passenger with no flying experience managed to land a small plane after the pilot fell ill. The emergency occurred in the sky above Florida. In the audio segment published by CNN, the passenger, aboard the Cessna 208 Caravan, can be heard calling the control tower. “There is a serious situation here – he says – my pilot is not himself. I have no idea how to fly the plane.”
At that point the flight controller began giving instructions on how to land the plane. “Try to keep the wings level – heard in the audio – and try to get down.
Push the yoke forward and slowly descend. “The passenger followed the instructions, seemingly never panicking, and eventually managed to land the plane at Palm Beach International Airport.” Congratulations to the new pilot. ” commented the control tower. (ANSA).
