Austria: solved the mystery of the skeleton in a tent in Tyrol

(ANSA) – BOLZANO, MAY 12 – The yellow of the skeleton found three weeks ago by some rock climbers in a tent at the foot of a wall in Tyrol has been solved. The human remains belong to a runaway thief. The death – according to the Austrian authorities – dates back to a few years ago.

The criminal, born in 1963, was sentenced in 2015 in absentia to two years in prison for home burglary, but had never presented himself in prison to serve his sentence. The man ‘disguised’ as a climber had probably hoped to lose track of him. He evidently lived in the tent at the foot of the Martinswand near Innsbruck, where he died for reasons not yet known. The investigators, however, exclude a crime. The body was identified thanks to the DNA examination.

“In the place where the tent was found, no one passes in a hundred years,” a local told the tabloid Kronen Zeitung. (HANDLE).
