(ANSA) – MADRID, MAY 18 – Qatar intends to make investments in Spain for over 4.7 billion euros in the coming years: the announcement, reports the Iberian press, came directly from the Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani , who last night attended a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Madrid organized on the occasion of his state visit to Spain.
For his part, the Spanish king Felipe VI announced that the two countries have decided to “elevate the excellent relationship” between both to the level of “strategic association”.
Today a meeting is scheduled between the Emir and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez: the “signing of agreements” is scheduled, according to the official agenda of the Spanish government. (HANDLE).
