Fire in the main Russian aerospace center

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 21 – Flames have developed in a transformation substation in the premises of the Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamics Institute (TsAGI) in the Moscow region, the most important center in the Russian aerospace sector. Russian Interfax Agency: “A transformer substation is on fire in the 30 square kilometer area at 1 Zhukovsky Street,” the source said. Later the same source explained that the fire was extinguished and no casualties were reported.

Among the developments of the TsAGI are the participation in the projects of the Energy rocket and the Space Shuttle Buran. (HANDLE).
