(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 24 – Over 80% of Ukrainians consider any territorial concession for peace to be unacceptable. This was revealed by a survey by the International Institute of Sociology in Kiev (Kiis), relaunched by the UNIAN agency.
“In a recent survey, we generally asked about the hypothesis of territorial concessions to achieve peace: for 82% of the interviewees they are not allowed and only 10% believe that some territories can be abandoned to reach” the end of the conflict. Only 8% of Ukrainians did not answer, calling themselves undecided.
The data – the survey finds – concerns the entire population and the data on the opposites who oppose any territorial concession reaches 68% even in the east while in this area of the country only 19% are ready to do so.
“It is also important to see – continues Kiis – that among the interviewees who currently live in the occupied territories, 77% are against any territorial concession, 18% are ready to make concessions”. (HANDLE).
