EU summit conclusions draft aid to Kiev, ‘truce’ node

(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, MAY 25 – The EU “remains committed to strengthening Ukraine’s ability to defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty” and “welcomes the decision to increase military support under the European Peace Fund “. This is what the draft conclusions of the extraordinary European summit on Monday foresee. In the text, which in any case will return to the table of at least one other meeting of the ambassadors of the 27 between now and Monday, there is, however, no clear reference to the truce or ceasefire. Absence which, explain a European source, reflects a possible divergence on the terms of a possible ceasefire. (HANDLE).
