Spain: Sánchez promises more control over the secret services

(ANSA) – MADRID, MAY 26 – The Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, announced in Parliament the government’s intention to carry out reforms of the laws that regulate the management of confidential state information and a reform of the control mechanisms on the work of secret services. The Iberian media reported it.
In this way, the prime minister characterized his first intervention in today’s ‘question-time’ on the thorny ‘case-Pegasus’, an alleged espionage operation with a malware to exponents of Catalan independence. The affair caused strong discontent among Sánchez’s secessionist parliamentary members, who threatened to withdraw support from the government. (HANDLE).
