(ANSAmed) – TEL AVIV, MAY 26 – Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh “was killed by an Occupation soldier while she was trying to flee with other journalists” during the clashes in Jenin (West Bank) on 11 last May. This was stated by the Attorney General of the Palestinian National Authority Akhram al-Khatib, quoted by the Maan news agency.
“The bullet that killed the journalist – he continued, illustrating the results of the investigation – contained a fragment of steel that pierced her protection”. According to the prosecutor, the journalist was shot in the head.
