President Volodymyr Zelensky visited a city located north of Kiev on Monday, 4
the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyaccuses the Russia of committing a “genocide” in the Donbass, a region in the north of the country that remains the focus of Moscow’s attacks. In a speech on Thursday, 26, the Ukrainian chief executive mentioned the deportation of citizens and the “mass murders of civilians” and stressed that the continuation of the bombings “may leave the region uninhabited”. “They want to reduce Popasna, Bakhmut, Lyman, Lysychansk and Severodonetsk to ashes. As they did in Volnovakha, as they did in Mariupol. […] All of this, including the deportation of our people and the mass murder of civilians, is an evident policy of genocide followed by Russia”, lamented the president. Zelensky also cited the bombing that took place in Kharkiv on Thursday, which killed at least nine people, including a five-month-old baby, and injured 19 other civilians. “A child and a parent were killed. The mother is in serious condition. A nine-year-old girl is also among the injured,” he concluded.
