Kremlin, negotiations suspended by decision of Kiev

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 27 – Negotiations with Ukraine have been suspended by decision of Kiev, which contrasts with Zelensky’s assertions on the need for talks at the highest level. The Kremlin affirms this, reports the TASS.

“The talks are now frozen by decision and in accordance with the line chosen by the Ukrainian side, which is in absolute contrast to the statements by Zelensky that you quoted,” Putin’s spokesman Dmitri Peskov said, according to the Interfax agency. .

“In general, the Ukrainian administration is constantly making statements that contradict each other,” Peskov said. “This – said the Kremlin spokesman – prevents a full understanding of what the Ukrainian side wants and if it is ready to adopt a reasonable approach and understand the real state of things”.

Russian troops invaded Ukraine three months ago, sparking a war in which many people, including many civilians, have lost their lives and which has so far forced 14 million people to leave their homes. (HANDLE).
