(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 31 – Tourism in Portugal has reached pre-pandemic levels. In April, the month in which Easter was celebrated, the number of bookings for overnight stays reached about 6 million, a figure 5 times higher than last year, and slightly higher even than that recorded in the same month of 2019. the data published today by the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE), the equivalent of the Portuguese ISTAT. The difference was also made by many Portuguese who moved within the national territory.
