(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, MAY 31 – The United States will provide Ukraine with “more advanced” missile systems to hit “strategic targets”. This was announced by US President Joe Biden.

“America’s goal is simple: we want to see a democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine with the means to discourage and defend itself from further aggression,” Biden writes before announcing: “This is why I have decided that we will provide Ukrainians with systems more advanced missiles and ammunition, which will allow them to more accurately hit key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine. ” The American president, however, does not specify whether they are those long-range missiles that only two days ago, and in the last few hours again the White House, had denied he wanted to send to Kiev.
